The view is one thing and when you get into the bush, it’s another thing and another thing. Munibung Hill has diversity galore and soon (?) it’s going to be much safer and easier to appreciate this wonderful patch of nature. How soon is the question.
“Council received over 60 submissions during the public exhibition period of the draft Munibung Hill Management Plan,” said Karena Thomas, Lake Mac Community Engagement Specialist.
“Thank you to everyone who provided feedback. The submissions are being reviewed by Council staff, in preparation for the next step which will be a report to Council. The report will contain an attachment summarising feedback from the community.”
“The date of the Council meeting is yet to be determined. It will be published on the Shape Lake Mac web page once confirmed. A copy of the Council report will also be published four days prior to the meeting,” said Karena.
There are still a number of design plans and a Vegetation Management Plan to be completed. Then there are budgets to be allocated. How many more months will elapse before on-site work begins is uncertain. Feel free to ask for clarity about a timeline for track upgrade works to begin.
