A short post to remind us that time marches on regardless of what how we might like to hang on to it. From the beginning of time all those 13 billion years ago, to the time when the Earth came into being 4.5 billion years ago.
We have learned that the shifting land masses have been rearranged over geological time to be in the places we know of today, but the slow movement – call it the dance of nature if it helps – continues.
Of all the ideas about what the shape of the land masses on the Earth will look like in the future, this we are told is the most likley. Worth pondering our separateness and the borders we have erected, all of which are nothing but articifial lines drawn up by the human species and totally irrelevant to migratory birds and marine life.
