First time visit to Munibung Hill – a mysterious place
We are always pleased to read social media posts such as this one from John Fejsa, who writes (Facebook,16 August) : ‘It was a lovely day for a walk around a “mysterious place” I didn’t even know exists. I drove past Munibung Hill every day on my way to work for 10 years when we lived in Valentine but I never knew such a lovely walk with spectacular views existed.’ John told us their group of four entered from the north end at Macquarie Road, Macquarie Hills, walked west up the two badly eroded sections (see example at top left picture) before turning south to take in the views and bushland setting, then exiting on the south end at Thompson Road, Speers Point.
