We Are Nature

Four books this month …

We are Nature, by Ray Mears (see main image).  Also, Awesome Australian Animals, by Chris Humfry
Through the eyes, ears, and voice of Chris Humfrey, kids will see Australia’s most fascinating species in close-up detail as never before.  Interactive digital vision plunges readers from the page right into the jaws of a saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) and the hidden habitats of the giant burrowing cockroach (Macropanesthia rhinoceros).  Chris believes that kids are the key to saving Australia’s precious wildlife, and through his book, he aims to empower a young army of animal allies to change the future.
There is No Away, by Ariel Shultz, is a fun story about outgrowing your old things and what to do with them when you can’t use them anymore. A mother and son brainstorm, learn, daydream and talk together about things to make, gifts to give, help to get, all so they don’t have to send something to landfill. A cute way to start learning about upcycling, reusing, sharing, and getting creative.
And, Living with the Anthropocene, by Cameron Muir and associates.
