Taylor Swift and Upcycle Newcastle
TS and Upcycle have at least one thing in common, a love for upcycled denim. With TayTay recently in the country, and an impressive recent ‘Swiftposium’ (three day academic conference on Taylor Swift’s global impact), a challenge was declared at Upcycle – to make a Taylor Swift inspired upcycled denim outfit. The dress (top left) was worn for the Video Music Awards, and originally made by the LA based denim upcyclers EB Denim.
The challenge was accepted, embraced and finished. Local model, Upcycle Newcastle student Aaliyah, looks the part in this great example of upcycling. More pictures in the April-May Issue of MMM.
