Slip sliding away
MM has carried stories over the past several months, where contributors have mentioned substantial landslides in the Thompson Road area.
No documentation or photos have been available to support these verbal reports, until now. The report documents the extent of land movement in catchment areas on the eastern side of Munibung Hill over a 38 year period. The land continues to be unstable and therefore unsuitable for rezoning for residential housing purposes.
