There’s a little known Australian produced feature film – THE KINGDOM* – about fungi that is a real eye-opener for those of us who don’t know much about this incredible species that exists in a kingdom all of its own.  Neither plant nor animal, it is no exaggeration to say, that we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for fungi – yet they receive little attention, let alone respect. 

Munibung Hill has at least 25 varieties of fungi (check out the munibunghill.com website gallery). We hope to get a better appreciation of them in 2020, including the practice known as fungal lore, as it relates to the lives of indigenous people.
